my hard shoe round was fairly good, I held my posture throughout and was able to focus pretty well on executing on the steps. it wasn't perfect but probably the best I've done in competition.
I was looking to show off my strengths in soft shoe; it's what I feel the most comfortable with and yet, I choked. I got off time and was unable to regain control.
again, I would've felt alright with my results if I had performed my dances as well as I possibly could but I danced my slip jig, probably the worst I have in competition. after nailing it in Atlanta, I was so certain I could pull it off again.
I know it's good to be realistic and I realize the possibility of winning my age group is slim to none but I'm going to train like I'm setting out to win the oireachtas. no holds barred.
going to work on perfecting the basics, gaining strength and flexbility and becoming obsessively detailed about perfecting every part of my steps.
also, THIS x1,000,000:
the harder the fall, the greater the defeat, the bigger the struggle
the better the comeback story
